The Pope’s apartment

Now accessible at the Château de Fontainebleau, the Pope’s apartment enriches the traditional route with eleven additional rooms, both ceremonial room and private rooms. The Napoleon 1st Museum brings together, in the right wing of the Château’s main courtyard, prince’s apartments, ceremonial portraits, sumptuous weapons, luxurious works of art but also a reconstructed tent evoking the life of the Emperor in the field.

Many additional visits are offered to the Castle for a wide audience: small apartments, the Chinese museum, the tennis court, the furniture gallery …
With a great decorative richness, the Château de Fontainebleau bears the mark of the greatest artists and constitutes a very precious museum of decorative arts.
